Acoustic Tests

Our acoustic laboratory contributes to the amenity of acoustic environment in our daily lives. We test the sound absorption and insulation performance of floors, walls and other building components. We also conduct acoustic assessments of planned auditoriums and field measurements of noise and vibration.

Major testing and research activities

  • Tests on the coefficient of sound absorption of various materials.
  • Tests on the sound insulation properties of building components.
  • Tests on the insulation capacities of floor construction against impact sound.
  • Measurement of the properties of vibration damping materials.
  • Field measurement of floor impact sound and environmental noise.
