Construction Materials Tests for Inspection
Our construction materials laboratories (located in northern Osaka, central Osaka, southern Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe) carry out various tests on construction materials for the inspection of construction works. GBRC is approved as a designated testing laboratory by prefectural governments.
Major testing and research activities
- Compression, bending, tensile strength, and modulus of elasticity tests of concrete and mortar.
- Tests of drilled cores to determine strength, carbonation and chloride ion content.
- Bending and tensile strength tests of profile steel, rebars and their welded joints.
- Ultrasonic tests of welded rebar joints.
- Tests of concrete products and bricks.
- Tests of aggregates based on JIS requirements.
